12/13/2023 0 Comments F1 race scheduleThe breakfast food itself was of a really high standard. breakfast was served in the main restaurant and when we went at 9am (serves until 10am) it was extremely busy and I had to ask 2 members of staff to get cups and glasses as there were none at the drinks / coffee stations. The food was exceptionally good if not a little overpriced, but the portions were of a good size and we really enjoyed our meal. We eat room service for dinner due to travelling with our 2 small children who were extremely tired. One slight down side is that items like minibar, kettle, cups etc were all hidden in the center island, but there were no handles for drawers and no markings etc, so it was kinda guesswork to see where to push to get access to these items. As a coffee drinker I was happy to see the inclusion of a nespresso machine which I made good use of. Inside, the suite was very spacious with a carpeted family area with couch, seats and TV. The whole external wall of the room is glass and has a balcony which extends right around the outside of the room with some 5 doors to access it from. The room is right at the end of the Marina wing and overlooks both the marina and part of the racetrack and has a nice view of Abu Dhabi Airport not too far in the distance. When we got to the room (2205) we were blown away at how beautiful it was. Upon arrivals we had a slight issue caused by not updating the booking that we had changed dates, but the front desk staff were excellent and took care of it all. We were only able to book one night away for my wife's birthday due to work schedules so decided to book a Marina Executive suite. Probably 4 stars if I didn't have the horrible experience with water all over the room and stained carpets. I was told I have the Marina bay view but this large structure covered my balcony and I couldn't see much. Which I didn't see nor thought of and slipped right of it when I entered the room. Unfortunately the water spilt out and reached the bedroom. The carpets need a wash or maybe new ones. The suite was big, hall in the front and bedroom at the back. I might have spent 300 for something I got for free. I was only staying the night leaving early morning, hence declined the offer- but I was amazed when they offered the upgrade for free. “It’s great to know that British F1 fans have two more opportunities to see our cars compete on British soil in 2021.I stayed for a night at check in an offer was thrown in - an upgrade to a suite for an extra 300 dirhams. “We are absolutely delighted to be invited by Formula 1,” said Masters Historic Racing founder Ron Maydon. Gentlemen Drivers races for Pre-66 GT cars have been added to British Grand Prix schedule The Gentlemen Drivers series is one of Masters' most successful and popular categories and typically pits Jaguar E-types, AC Cobras and Lotus Elans into competition with a usual format of a longer race, a pitstop and two drivers. The 36-car entry list for the races, which will run to two half-hour formats, was filled within minutes of being announced to the Masters’ competitor base.Įven though many of the cars will be racing at The Classic, Silverstone two weekends later, there was a huge appetite for the chance to race in front of the sell-out crowd of 140,000 fans, as British motor racing returns to full spectator capacity for this flagship event. Instead, Masters Historic Racing has reacted quickly to organise a pair of races for its Gentlemen Drivers Pre-66 GT series on the Grand Prix circuit over the 16-18 July weekend.
